Hello and thanks for joining me today.
Today’s project is actually a gift for a few friends so I’m not going to spoil any surprises and show you what’s inside. Instead I just want to show you how easy it is to make a little gift look a bit more special with the Stampin’ Up! Gold Striped Treat Bags…
I’ve used Highland Heather as my colour scheme because it complements the gift inside the bag and I’ve used retired ribbon simply because it went with my colour scheme and I’m a waste not want not kind of gal!
I die cut stitched ovals from Gold Foil using the Stitched Shapes framelits. I then added some Highland Heather card cut using my Pretty Label punch. I used a sponge brayer to colour some Vellum with Highland Heather ink and then used my Leaf Punch and Sprig Punch to cut out some foliage that I glued to the centre of the Pretty Label.
I stamped the sentiment Just For You from Rooted In Nature stamp set in Highland Heather ink onto Whisper White car and cut that with one of the circles from Stitched Shapes framelits. I adhered my ribbons to the centre of the Pretty Label and then covered them with the stamped circle, which I added with dimensionals.
I didn’t need to add anything to keep the bag closed, I simply folded the top over and used my bone folder to give it a good sharp crease and it stays in place.
These treat bags are a great starting point and can be decorated in so many different ways. Maybe next time I’ll brayer the white sections so that they coordinate with the other trimmings too.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. I’ve listed all of the Stampin’ Up! products used below and you can click on any of the links to visit my online shop at any time. I’d be honoured to be your independent demonstrator.
