Hello! Last week while I was living it up at Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Rotterdam it was my lovely friend and Nellie’s Stampers team member Hazel’s birthday. Hazel has twice sent me a box of fabulously coordinated gifts so it was definitely my turn to spoil her. First off I made this Sending Smiles easel card…
Here’s how it looks from the side…
These cards are so easy to make. You can see how by clicking here to visit a previous post with a video tutorial. The paper I used is from Delightfully Eclectic pack that has a whopping 48 sheets of 12″ x 12′ paper to choose from. I love this combination of Fresh Freesia with black and white, so carried the theme through with this box filled with little gifts…
For the box I used the Online Exclusive Irresistible Blooms bundle. I heat embossed the flowers using black powder onto Fresh Freesia card and cut them with the coordinating dies. I also used the dies to cut leaves from Basic White card. The sentiment is from the same bundle and I used the Double Oval punch to cut it out and layer it.
Next I dusted off a well loved tool from my craft room, the envelope punch board. Stampin’ Up! haven’t offered this product for many years but I’ll never get rid off mine, it’s just too useful and not just for envelopes! I used it to create 2 boxes and an envelope for other little gifts…
As I was using a retired tool, I also used up some retired black ribbon! The sentiment on the larger box at the back is from the Heartfelt Hexagons bundle. I used the opposite side of the paper for the belly band on that box and I love the contrast!
Here’s a photo of everything together…
The colour coordination of card, paper and ink make me so happy! And Stampin’ Up! make it effortless.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing this Sending Smiles easel card and gifts for my lovely friend Hazel.
