Vintage Notes of Nature card – Touches of Ink Blog Hop March 2024

Today I’m taking part in the Touches of Ink blog hop, so you may have joined me from the lovely Katja Martins’s blog. We are all using our free choice of bundle or suite from the current Stampin’ Up! catalogues or Online Exclusives. I’ve selected a bundle from the January to April 2024 mini catalogue. Here’s my vintage Notes of Nature card…

My colour combination for this card is Crumb Cake, Pretty Peacock and Very Vanilla, with a generous use of Pecan Pie for the vintage look.

ABOUT MY CARD

My card base is Crumb Cake and I added some Pretty Peacock ink added but that was all. The Pretty Peacock card layer got a bit more distressing around the edges with my paper snips, a little tear at the top left corner and some Pecan Pie ink blending.

I gave the Crumb Cake card layer got similar treatment but also die cut along the left edge and some light stamping too.

The main Field of Notes image was stamped with Pecan Pie ink on Very Vanilla card then I tore 2 sides and added more Pecan Pie ink blending. I stamped my sentiment with Pretty Peacock ink on Very Vanilla card and I tore all 4 sides this time.

Assembly was much quicker and easier than making each part! I only glued the layers in the middle so the edges maintain their texture and dimension. I popped up the Field Of Note part and the top of the long leafy die cut with dimensionals…

The inside layer of Very Vanilla got a little bit of the same stamping and ink blending…
