Nature’s Sweetness lidded gift box with ribbon pull

Hello! A few weeks back my friend and Pootlers team mate Tricia Smith (SmithsCraftyCreations.com) made some fabulous lidded gift boxes with a ribbon pull on the lid. This inspired me to to make a similar style for some recent party favours. Now I’ve made another version, so here’s my Nature’s Sweetness lidded gift box…

I matched my card colours to the background of the 2 Nature’s Sweetness paper designs. The base is Pebbled Path and the lid is Basic White.

I used the Lovely & Sweet stamp set and dies to add some decoration to the front…

And I also added some DSP to the inside of the box…

I recorded a video tutorial of me making this pretty gift box…

I’d love you to click on the image above or if you prefer you can click here to pop over to YouTube and check out how to make this Nature’s Sweetness lidded gift box . If you enjoy watching my video, I’d love you to give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment too. If you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, make sure you do so when you’re there; so you don’t miss out on future videos.

The finished box is a 2-1/2″ cube

MEASUREMENTS

To make the box in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies:

  • Pebbled Path card for the base measuring 7-1/2″ x 7-1/2″
    • score on each side at 2-1/2″
  • 1 piece of Basic White card measuring 4-1/16″ x 4-1/16″ for the lid
    • score on each side at 3/4″
  • 4 pieces of Nature’s Sweetness DSP measuring 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ for the sides of the base
  • 2 pieces of Natures Sweetness DSP (design 2) measuring 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ for the lid and inside of the base
  • 4 pieces of Nature’s Sweetness DSP (design 2) measuring 2-3/8″ x 5/8″ for the sides of the lid
  • A piece of Basic White card measuring 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ for inside of the lid
  • A scrap of Basic White for the sentiment die cut
  • A scrap of DSP for the flower die cuts
  • Ribbon (I used a retired gold ribbon but would have used Pebbled Path if I had it!)
  • Embellishments
