Pootlers Blog Hop – Spring/Summer catalogue

12 Jan

Hello and thank you for joining me! Today I’m taking part in the Pootlers Blog Hop where we are all sharing projects created with new products from the Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer 2019 catalogue.

As soon as I saw the Happy Tails bundle in the catalogue I instantly fell in love with it. I love dogs, especially larger and working breeds. So, as cute as the little dog in Bella & Friends is, this larger dog is my favourite! Here’s the card I’ve made with my first play with the set…

I’ve used a piece of Crumb Cake card measuring 8 x 4 inches, scored and folded in half to give a 4 x 4 inches base. I added a piece of Whisper White card measuring 3 & 7/8th inches square.

I stamped 1 dog with Smoky Slate ink onto Whisper White card. I used my Stamparatus to line up all 3 of the stamps for this dog. The 2nd dog is Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake card and I only used the first layer of the dog stamps. I added collars to each dog, one in Merry Merlot and the other in Blueberry Bushel ink. Each dog was punched with the Dog Builder punch.

The Crumb Cake dog was glued onto the Whisper White layer and the Smoky Slate one was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The only time I’ve ever seen 2 dogs sitting that nicely was when there was a treat involved so I decided to add one in! I stamped the bone in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White card and coloured it with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend and fussy cut it with my paper snips. I tied some Linen Thread round it, tied it in a little bow and taped the other end to the back of the Whisper White layer, allowing it to move around on the front.

I then stamped Friends Forever in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with the Layering Circles framelits dies, along with a larger scalloped one from Crumb Cake card. I added the 2 hearts that were punched when I cut the dogs by gluing them together and then adding a mini dimensional.

I also added Whisper White card to the inside and stamped it and made an envelope with some Tranquil Tide designer series paper…

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project and are ready to check out what everyone else has created.

I love the way you colored your two doggies! They still have the same body stamp as well as details, but because you stamped them using two different colors of CS, and inks, you got two different doggies that look like they have two different personality So adorable! This is on my wish list as well!!
