Hello everyone!
For today’s card I’ve used another Sale-A-Bration free product. This time its the Beautifully Happy stamp set that you can earn for free with a Stampin’ Up! order of £90 or 120€ up until 28 February 2023 – so time is running out!
I’ve used the Kraft 6″ x 6″ paper and Early Espresso card to create this card. As it’s difficult to add colour to the Kraft paper I used the whitewash technique. I stamped the image with Early Espresso ink and then coloured the petals and leaves with some white ink and a water painter. I then added the colours shown beside my card, again with water painters.
I also splashed the Kraft paper with some diluted Early Espresso ink but it looked a bit pink, so I used the little dots stamp from Beautifully Happy to add in some full strength Early Espresso too. I then decided to add in the cute little bee from the set too.
My card base is Early Espresso card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then cut the Kraft paper down to 10 x 14 cm. I cut the centre from the Kraft paper with one of the Deckled Rectangle dies. I also cut a piece of Early Espresso card with a larger Deckled Rectangle die. I glued these 3 pieces together, added some linen thread around it, tied in a bow, then added them to my card base.
Although there are lots of layers on this card it’s not too thick to pop in the post…
The final touches were some Champagne rhinestones and a stamped piece of Very Vanilla card (10 x 14 cm) for the inside…
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing today’s card and will give it a try.
