I had a quick check of my new designer series paper packs to see if there was a design I could use with at least 1 of these colours and hit the jackpot with a Sale-A-Bration free pack called Dandy Designs. It has this fabulous Calypso Coral paper….
The stars in this design reminded me that I’ve got star dies in the Give It A Whirl die set and then I thought why not create an interactive card with this die set? So I did.
I made my normal card base of Basic White Thick card (21 x 14.5cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5cm) and used the dies from the Give It A Whirl set to cut
- The main cover using Dandy Designs designer series paper – I also cut out a circle from this at the same time
- the inside wheel with Basic White card
- the outside circle frame with Basic White card
- the Happy Birthday sentiment rectangle
- various stars with Smoky Slate and Starry Sky card

I stamped the sentiments from Very Best Occasions with Starry Sky ink. I glued rather a lot of stars to the inside wheel that show when you turn the wheel and a few beside the happy birthday.
To allow the wheel to turn I used a small white brad and covered it up (almost) with the white circular frame on the front. The whole front panel was added to the card with foam adhesive strips, being careful not to foul the inner wheel…
Finally, I added some Starry Sky matte dots and added a bit of sparkle to some of the many stars with Wink Of Stella.
