Hello! I hope you are well.
The awesome new 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue is now live! You can check out online here – just scroll down to the bottom of the page to download it as a PDF.
To celebrate I thought I feature one of the brand new In Colors for 2022-2024; Parakeet Party!
I made a pocket card with an angled gatefold last week and promised you I’d share a tutorial for it and here it is…
Here’s the card I made in the tutorial…
To make this you’ll need the following:
- Parakeet Party card measuring 26.5 x 14.5 cm
- score on the long side at 8 cm and 18.5 cm
- Parakeet Party designer series paper as follows
- 2 pieces each measuring 7.5 x 14 cm
- 1 piece measuring 10 x 14 cm
- Basic White card for the inside card measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm
- Basic White card scraps for the leaves and sentiment pieces
As you’ll see in the video, I cut the card and front two DSP pieces to create my angles for both sides. I used 4 cm from the top edge and 2 cm from the bottom edge. You can of course vary this to get more or less of an angle on your card, just make sure you do the same measurements on each piece.
To decorate my card I used the Nature’s Prints stamp set and Natural Prints dies with Parakeet Party ink onto Basic White card…
The sentiment label is propped up on dimensionals at the left side so the gatefold flap can tuck under it. Here’s how it stands when it’s open…
I’ll have more fun fold cards with the new In Colors to share with you soon, so please do pop back to take a look.
