I am a tea Jenny! Even as I’m typing this I have a cup of tea beside me, lol. Which is dangerous when you have so much lovely paper around you and are as clumsy as me, but I need my tea!
So, when I spotted the Tea Room suite in the Stampin’ Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue (pages 14-15) I knew I had to have it. However, my first project using the bundle doesn’t really say ‘tea’ at all…
Firstly I made the gift tag by using Highland Heather card, I used the edgelit to create the scalloped bottom edge. I then stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink onto Whisper White card and die cut it. I also die cut the larger circle from Highland Heather designer series paper from the Subtle 6 x 6 ” paper pack.
I used my Detailed Trio punch to round the top 2 corners, punch the design into those 2 corners and make the slot for the ribbon. I love how much you can do with just 1 punch.
I added some Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon to complete the tag. Now I just needed something to add the tag to. So out came my Gift Bag Punch Board.
I trimmed a sheet of A4 Whisper White card to 11 inches in length to make a medium width bag, using the measurements with the Gift Bag Punch Board – so easy to do.
Once I had punched and scored my card I stamped it with 2 stamps from the Time for Tea set in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks. The 2 purples work so well together.
I glued and assembled my bag, threaded the ribbon from the tag through the holes I’d made in my gift bag and tied it at the back, so that the tag sits nicely on the front.
I then decided that it needed a little extra bling and added some Glitter Enamel Dots to the bottom of the tag.
The finished bag measures 7 inches tall, 3 & 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches deep – so there’s plenty of room for sweeties or any other little gift.
