Happy 4th of July to any American readers – and happy Wednesday to the rest of you, lol.
I’ve had lots of lovely times in the good ole U, S of A and so I thought I should make a little effort to join in the 4th of July celebrations with a Red, White and Blue card. So here’s what I created…
My card base is Real Red, with a layer of Blueberry Bushel (my favourite Blue right now!) and a stamped layer of Whisper White, so even my layers are in the right order.
I stamped the Whisper White layer with the large flower from Flourishing Phrases in both Real Read and Blueberry Bushel inks.
I die cut the Celebrate from the Celebrate You thinlits from Whisper White card and then used my sponge daubers to colour the first few letters with Real Red ink and the last few letters with Blueberry Bushel ink – so again, we’ve got the Red, the White and then the Blue.
I then used one of the flower dies from the Flourish thinlets in Real Red and Blueberry Bushel to add them to the card underneath the Celebrate. I like to add things to my cards in odd numbers so I also cut one of the larger flowers from the same set in Real Red then cut it in half with my paper snips to add to the top part of the stamped panel.
I also added a Whisper White panel to the inside of the card, which was stamped with the large flower stamp I used earlier, in Blueberry Bushel ink.
