Hello, I hope you are well.
As I live by the sea the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set just speaks to me. The fact that it comes with lovely patterned papers, dies and an embossing folder to coordinate with the stamps is even better! However, for today’s card I’ve only used the stamps for a little change…
I started with a piece of Balmy Blue card measuring 10 x 14cm and randomly stamped it with some of the shell stamps with Balmy Blue ink. Some of the images were stamped full strength and some of the I stamped off onto a scrap of paper before adding a lighter image to the card layer.
I then stamped 3 shells with Versamark ink, added White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it.
I added some Balmy Blue ink to the top section with a blending brush, Coastal Cabana to the middle and finally Pacific Point to the bottom piece. I wiped off any excess ink from the heat embossed shells as this resists the ink.
I stamped the 2 sentiments from the set onto Coastal Cabana card with Pacific Point ink and chopped the first one into 2 pieces to add to the card. I added a little bit of ink to these sentiment pieces with my blending brushes too.
I added the stamped piece to a Pacific Point card base and added little bits of the Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Playing With Patterns set that I cut in half lengthways underneath each of the sentiments…
I added a panel of white card to the inside and stamped a couple of shells too but totally forgot to take a photo of that!! Oops.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I certainly enjoyed making it!
