Pool Party Best Wishes using Stampin’ Up! Sand & Sea suite

Hello, I hope you are well.

I have been having so much fun while playing with the fabulous Sand & Sea suite of products from the Stampin’ Up! January to June 2021 mini catalogue, so here’s another card I made recently…

I’ve used Pool Party card for my card base (21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm) and with the main die from the Seaside Seashells set. After die cutting this piece, I stamped it with the coordinating stamps from the Friends Are Like Seashells set. I used a combination of Pacific Point, Seaside Spray and Pool Party inks to add the detail to the 5 different shells featured in this die.

To add more texture I then put my die cut into the Seashells 3D embossing folder. Once I’d done that I felt that I wanted to add a little bit of shimmer so added some of the Frost White shimmer paint to the raised pieces with a paint brush – you only need a tiny bit of the paint so your brush is almost dry…

You may have noticed that I added some extra detail to my card base too. Firstly I used the dotty stamp from the set with Pool Party ink randomly across the card front. I then diluted a little bit of the Whisper White ink refill and splattered it over the card base too – it’s not quite a Jackson Pollock but that was definitely my influence, lol!

To add the die to the card front I put Stampin’ Dimensionals under the shells but added liquid glue to the seaweed parts around the edge so that they don’t get caught on the envelope.

Finally I stamped my sentiment with Pacific Point ink onto Pool Party card and trimmed it to fit. I added a little bit of the Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Playing With Patterns ribbon combo for a bit extra detail under the sentiment.
