Nutcracker Tag topped box – tutorial

Hello! I hope you are well. Last weekend I joined my lovely friend and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Janice Thomson for one of her craft events in a great garden centre. I do love a garden centre, not so much for the gardening side but more for the gift shop and food hall parts. Because I got to Janice’s event a little bit early, I went shopping first. I picked up somethings that I wanted to make boxes for. Then at the craft event one of Janice’s project really inspired me to make this Nutcracker Tag topped box…

The card on the left was the project that gave me my inspiration. We used a tag from the Nutcracker Tags kit along with some Christmas Tags and more to create that fun card. So, I’ve used the same products to make this box…

You can get a better view of the DSP and the layers on this lovely Nutcracker Tag from the side view…

Isn’t he adorable? And I love the gold glitter on these tags. I’m so glad I had this kit waiting for me when I got home to my own craft space.

I heartily recommend this Nutcracker Tags Kit. Not only are the tags super cute, but you can use them in other ways too.

MEASUREMENTS

To make the Nutcracker Tag topped box in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies:

• Garden Green card measuring 3-1/2″ x 7-1/2″
  • score on all four sides at 1″
• one sheet of Christmas Tags & More 6″ x 6″ DSP
  • wrap this around the Garden Green tray as shown in the video
  • trim the length of the DSP to measure 5-5/8″
  • you may need to trim the width of the DSP too (as I did in the video)
• Real Red & White baker’s twine (or just use the black twine in the kit)
