Floral Charm birthday card – Touches of Ink Blog Hop October 2025

Today I’m taking part in the Touches of Ink blog hop, so you may have joined me from my lovely friend Janice’s blog. Welcome! I’ve used one of our beautiful online exclusive product suits for today’s Floral Charm birthday card…

ABOUT MY CARD

I thought the design I chose from the Floral Charm designer series paper (DSP) pack had a bit of a vintage vibe to it, so that set the tone for today’s card. My card base is Timid Tiger card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. Then I cut a layer of Basic Beige card to measure 10 x 14 cm. My DSP measures 9.5 x 13.5 cm but I cut it on the short side at approx 4cm and flipped that piece to show both sides of this pretty paper.

Before adding these to my card base I added some Basic Beige ribbon and secured the ends to the back. I also added to the vintage vibe by distressing the edge of the Basic Beige card with the blade of my scissors.

I die cut the large Charming Day floral piece from Basic Beige card and used small blending brushes to add Mossy Meadow and Timid Tiger ink…

My sentiment is from the Charming Day stamp set and was stamped with Timid Tiger ink onto Basic Beige card.

The final touch was to add some In Color pearls to the front and add another distressed layer of Basic Beige card with some stamping and ink blending to the inside…
