Hello and welcome to the July 2025 Project Share Project blog hop. Our fabulous little group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators share each others projects every Thursday and also create a new project for a monthly Blog Hop. Our theme this month is to CASE a project created by one of little group. These lovely ladies always inspire me, every week, so choosing one to ‘copy’ was a tough choice. However, I took inspiration from Vickie of Vickie Lou Designs for this Layers of Beauty card…

And here’s the card that inspired me…

ABOUT MY PROJECT
I love the coloured flowers and background from Vickie’s card and of course her colour choice. But I didn’t want to just simply copy it. Instead, I used a different floral stamp set and some colours from the current In Colors. The stamp set I used is Layers of Beauty. And I stamped with Secret Sea ink instead of black, to keep with the In Colors theme. To cover the card layer I need to use the large Layers Of Beauty stamp 3 times and filled a little gap with one of the smaller stamps.
Then it was time to chill out and colour with my Stampin’ Blends – so therapeutic. I started by using Light Shy Shamrock on all of the leaves. Then Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling on the smaller flowers, followed by Strawberry Slush on the roses. Once I’d completed that task, I used the Light Cloud Cover pen to fill in the background. I love this new soft blueish grey colour, don’t you?
Finally it was time to back my stamped and coloured piece with Basic White card and add it to my Secret Sea card base. Then I stamped my Happy Anniversary sentiment, also from Layers of Beauty, with Secret Sea ink onto Basic White card that I trimmed to fit then backed with Secret Sea card.
I then added a bit of stamping and colouring to the inside panel on my card to coordinate…

And because this is such a special card I decorated my envelope too. Just make sure you put a scrap piece of card inside the envelope before you colour with Stampin’ Blends so that it doesn’t bleed through to the back of the envelope.
Thank you so much to Vickie for the inspiration!
