Boho Vibes gatefold & pop up card – tutorial

Hello! I hope you are well. When this blog post is published I will be sunning myself in Florida. There’s likely to be some rain too, but that’s okay. You can’t get a rainbow without a little rain! And I do love a rainbow, don’t you? That’s my inspiration for today’s fun fold card. This is my Boho Vibes gatefold & pop up card…

I used the Boho Vibes designer series paper for my card front but jazzed up the rainbow by using colours from the Brights collection. The front has a simple sentiment but when you open the gatefold card front you’ll see another sentiment pops up…

The secret to the pop up part is really simple, it’s just a little box attached to the sentiment and to the left side of the card front…

Which one do you like best?

MEASUREMENTS

To make the card in today’s video, you’ll need the following supplies:

• Basic White Thick card for the base measuring 5-3/4″ x 8-1/4″
  • score on the long side at 2-1/16″ from each end
• 2 pieces of Boho Vibes designer series paper each measuring 5-5/8″ x 2″
• Poppy Parade card for the pop up mechanism measuring 1″ x 4″
  • score on the long side at 1-1/2″, 2″, 3-1/2″ and 4″
• Brights Collection card scraps to die cut the rainbow pieces
• Basic White card to die cut the rainbow background and the sentiments. The card for the inner sentiment measures 2-1/2″ x 1-3/8″. The Hello sentiment was trimmed to fit.
• Brights Collection card to back both the sentiment pieces. The card for the inner sentiment measures 2-3/4″ x 1-5/8″
