ABOUT MY CARD
It has been a while since I played with inks on Fluid 100 watercolour paper and I thought these 3 colours would work well with this technique. I cut a sheet of the paper to measure 12.5 x 8.5 cm (roughly in half) and spritzed it all over with water. Then I added each ink to a clear block and spritzed that too. The fun part is splashing the inks all over the paper. I couldn’t wait for it to dry to gave it a boost with my heat tool.
Once it was dry I stamped it with some of the Elements of Text stamps, using Basic Gray ink. I also used that ink to stamp the large Sketched Butterly onto some Basic White card. The butterfly was coloured with Stampin’ Blends in each of the colours. I also used the Light Petal Pink to colour the surrounding white card of the die cut, just so it would blend into the background better.
My sentiment is from the Greetings for All ephemera pack. Once again I used the Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend to colour the white of the Hello.
Before assembling my card I added Pretty In Pink ribbon to the watercolour paper. Then I decided that the Petal Pink card base was a bit too plain, so I stamped little butterflies over it with Petal Pink ink.
I glued the centre of the butterfly to the card but raised the wings with dimensionals…

The final touch was to add some rhinestones I coloured with the Dark Melon Mambo blend and my Sketched Butterflies card was complete.
