Hello! I hope you are well. I bought a box of chocolates with the intention of making a gift bag for them, with designer series paper. After a bit of head scratching, I finally figure out how to make this large gift bag & tag with less than 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ Reindeer Days DSP…
The finished bag measures 6-7/8″ tall, 6″ wide and 1″ deep. And features both sides of this adorable designer series paper. And I’ve got a 4-1/2″ square leftover to make something else with!
After I worked out the dimensions, I recorded a video to show you how you can make one too…

MEASUREMENTS
To make the large gift bag & tag in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies…
- 1 sheet of 12″ x 12: Reindeer Days DSP
- trim this down to 12″ x 7-1/2″ as shown in the video
- then cut this into 2 pieces measuring 6″ x 7-1/2″
- score the long side at 6″ and 7″
- score the short side at 1″ from the bottom
- then cut this into 2 pieces measuring 6″ x 7-1/2″
- Cut the remaining piece down to 7-1/2″ x 4-1/2″
- then cut this into 2 pieces measuring 2-1/4″ x 7-1/2″
- score the long side at 6″ and 7″
- add a pencil line on the short side at 1/4″ from the bottom
- then cut this into 2 pieces measuring 2-1/4″ x 7-1/2″
- trim this down to 12″ x 7-1/2″ as shown in the video
- Basic White card for the tag measuring 2″ x 3-1/2″
- Pool Party Pompom ribbon
- Embellishments
