Today I’m taking part in the Touches of Ink blog hop, so you may have joined me from my fabulous friend, and fellow Scot, Janice Thomson’s blog. Welcome! This month I’ve used one of ready to assemble boxes for this Choose Happy Gift Card box…
ABOUT MY PROJECT
I love making gift boxes but why make them when you can buy these Scalloped Gift Card boxes from Stampin’ Up! This pre-cut and scored box is ready to simply assemble, with no need for glue. It was perfect for the little gift I wanted to pop inside…
The inserts for a gift card are included in the pack of 10 boxes, but you could use the box without it if you prefer.
To make my box a bit more personal I decided to stamp on it. I used a cute flower from the Choose Happy stamp set, with Basic Gray ink. I coloured the leaves with Shy Shamrock and the flower centres with Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends.
To keep with the theme of the little gift inside, I stamped the sentiment and bee with Basic Gray ink too. I coloured the bee with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and trimmed the card to fit. I backed it with Shy Shamrock card and added the sentiment over the Shy Shamrock ribbon.
My final touch for my Choose Happy gift card box was to add some shimmer gems. But then I thought I should make a card to go with the gift and here it is…
Again, my stamps are from Choose Happy but this time I used Spotlight On Nature dies to cut and back the sentiment.
