Irresistible Blooms thank you card – CCC150

Hello! I hope you are well. This week sees a bit of a milestone for my friend Victoria of Vickie Lou Designs as her weekly colour challenges has now reached number 150. It really doesn’t seem that long since she launched this challenge that I love taking part in as often as I can. I’ve used this week’s colours for this Irresistible Blooms thank you card…

ABOUT MY CARD

I will admit to suffering a little bit of jet lag but I really wanted to craft! I was looking at the Online Exclusives products on the Stampin’ Up! website and noticed a gorgeous slimline card made with the Latte Love bundle. That then inspired me to make my own version with this week’s challenge colours.

The Irresistible Blooms stamp set and dies are Online Exclusive products that have been around for ages but are still available from my Stampin’ Up! store right now. I must admit that I’ve ignored this stunning set for a while, because I’m easily distracted by new products! Indeed, I need to remind myself about how the circular die works. It cuts out the middle part from your card or paper and leaves a gorgeous aperture.

My card base is Basic White thick card and my layer is Country Woods designer series paper. I cut the paper with the circular die and used that to see where to stamp my sentiment directly onto the card base. I then added lots of Pretty In Pink ink splatters around the aperture too. After glueing the paper in place I stamped the 2 flowers and a set of leaves on Basic White card and die cut them.

I added some Pretty Peacock ribbon and popped the flowers over it with dimensionals…

My final touch was to ad 5 iridescent foil gems for a bit more sparkle.
