Hello! It was my beautiful niece’s 16th birthday on Sunday and as she got a new electric guitar from her parents I knew exactly which stamp and dies bundle I was going to use. Here’s the slimline Rock Star birthday card she received…
I did toy with the idea of making a brightly coloured card but black and white seemed more appropriate somehow. But I couldn’t resist adding in lots of gold elements with heat embossing, foil and trim. I unravelled the gold Simply Elegant trim and imagined it to be like uncoiled and frayed guitar strings…
The guitar needed a little bit more sparkle so I used Wink Of Stella to get this effect…
And of course the inside of the card needed some treatment too so I heat embossed and die cut the sentiment and fussy cut one of the guitars from the designer series paper….
And finally I needed an envelope, but not just any old envelope! This one was made with the Rock & Roll designer series paper and personalised thanks to the Alphabet A La Mode dies and another fussy cut guitar…
