ABOUT TODAY’S CARD

The Flight & Airy designer series paper pack has lots of bird designs, as you might expect from the name. But it also has quite a few other designs that don’t feature birds or flowers. I created by decorations for today’s card by only using this DSP pack.

The card base is much bigger than my normal cards, but I’m happy to be generous with this gorgeous paper, knowing that it was a freebie!

When open the card stands on its own and the blocks simply pop up…

As you can see the card folds flat to put into an envelope for a 5″ x 7″ card and the send in the mail…

This paper and design would also make a lovely Mother’s Day card, using another stamp from Heartfelt Hellos.

SUPPLIES

To make the pop up block card I created in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies:

• Basic White Thick card for base, measuring 5″ x 11″
  • score on the long side at 2″ and 4″
• Basic White card for the 3 blocks as follows:
  • Block 1 = 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ – score the long side at 1-1/2″, 3-1/2″ and 5″
  • Block 2 = 2-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ – score the long side at 1″, 3″ and 4″
  • Block 3 = 1-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ – score the long side at 1/2″, 2-1/2″ and 3″
• Flight & Airy Designer series paper A (for inside the card base)
  • 1 piece measuring 4-3/4″ x 6-3/4″
  • 1 piece measuring 4-3/4″ x 1-3/4″
• Flight & Airy DSP pattern B (for the pop up blocks)
  • Block 1 = 1-3/4″ x 3″
  • Block 2 = 1-3/4″ x 2-1/4″
  • Block 3 = 1-3/4″ x 1-1/2″
• Circles and Flowers punched or die cut from the Flight & Airy DSP
• Basic White card for the sentiment
• Embellishments
