Beside Me card – Creative Colour Challenge 128

Hello! I really like the bright combination in this week’s Creative Colour Challenge so couldn’t wait to take part. I recently got the stamp set I used for this card as a Sale-A-Bration freebie, although it’s also available in the Annual Catalogue. This is the first time I’ve inked up. Here’s my Beside Me card…

about my CARD

I stamped this adorable image of a bike lesson with Memento ink and used Stampin’ Blends to colour it. You get both a light and dark shade in the Stampin’ Blends so it pretty much doubled the colours I had to play with. Is that cheating? Maybe! I also added in dark Crumb Cake and Ivory to colour the hair and skin – that probably really is cheating, lol. So, I hope Victoria will let me me away with it.

I stamped onto Very Vanilla card that I trimmed down to measure 8 x 12 cm. I backed this with Sweet Sorbet card measuring 8.5 x 12.5 cm. My next layer is Blackberry Bliss measuring 9 x 13 cm, so there’s a wide border on my card base.

The 2 sentiments from Beside Me work so well with this cute image. I didn’t feel the need to add any bling for a change…
