Sunflowers Get Well card – Creative Colour Challenge 109

October 3, 2023

3 Oct

As soon as I saw the latest Creative Colour Challenge I knew that I wanted to use the sunflowers and leaves from the Abundant Beauty decorative masks again. But I wasn’t sure how to incorporate the Pebbled Path. In the end I made this Sunflowers Get Well card…

THE CHALLENGE

So you can join in, these are the colours for this week’s challenge over at www.creativecolourchallenges.blogspot.com

Please CLICK HERE to find out more about this challenge and to join in the fun with this week’s 3 colours.

about my card

I started off with a piece of Very Vanilla card and the Abundant Beauty decorative masks. I simply set about filling the piece of card with various sunflowers and leaves. When I’ve used these masks previously I used a variety of ink colours for the flowers. But you can get plenty of shades and depth from just one ink pad, by varying the pressure and the amount of Crushed Curry ink you add to your blending brush.

I used the Wanted To Say dies with Pebbled Path and Very Vanilla card to create the sentiment. These are so easy to layer up the background makes the sentiment stand out from the card background.

I then added my card layer to my Pebbled Path card base. I felt the card needed a little bit more detail so I added some thin strips of card and of course some In Color dots.

Finally, I added a layer to the inside of my card that I’d added another little sunflower and some leaves to…

I simply love playing around with these Abundant Beauty decorative masks!

measurements

My card base is Pebbled Path card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 14.5 cm. My Very Vanilla layers both measure 9.5 x 13.5 cm.

I hope you like my Sunflowers Get Well card with this week’s colours. Why don’t you see what you can make with these colours and join in the fun?
