I must admit that I struggled a little with this week’s colour combination. The Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green immediately suggested flowers and leaves but I wasn’t sure how to incorporate the Wild Wheat!
My first step was to cut a piece of the black and white Zoo Crew designer series paper to measure 9,5 x 13.5 cm. Then I used my Stampin’ Blends to colour the flower petals with Highland Heather (dark and light) and the Granny Apple Green light for the leaves. I don’t have any Wild Wheat pens so I put a little bit of the ink onto a clear block and used a Blender pen to pick it up to colour the centres of the flowers.
To continue the floral theme, I then stamped the flowers and leaves from Petal Park and cut them with the coordinating punch. Again, I coloured them with my Stampin’ Blends…
I added my coloured DSP to a piece of Wild Wheat card measuring 10 x 14 cm and then to a Basic White Thick card base. The card base measures 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm.
My sentiment is from Biggest Wish stamp set and was cut with the Double Oval punch. I then backed this with the larger oval punched from Wild Wheat card.
The final touch was some Wild Wheat dots.
I hope you like my Petal Park card with this week’s colours. Why don’t you see what you can make with these colours and join in the fun?
