I picked up some little pocket hug gifts in a lovely local shop recently and knew I wanted to make a pretty package for them. I actually decided to make a double pocket gift package, so that I could add in an extra little note too.
Here’s the result…
I used Wild Wheat card and ink and Lemon Lolly ink and ribbon. Here’s what it looks like when you untie the ribbon and open the package to reveal the double pockets…
And here’s what was inside each pocket…
I used the Color & Contour stamp set and coordinated Scalloped Contour dies and recorded a video when I made my second one, to show how easy they are to make.

I’d love you to click on the image above or if you prefer you can click here to pop over to YouTube and check out how easy this Christmas gift card holder is to make. If you enjoy watching my video, I’d love you to give it a thumbs up and leave me a wee comment too. If you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, make sure you do so when you’re there; so you don’t miss out on future videos.
Here’s the double pocket gift package I made in the video, this time using Moody Mauve and Bubble Bath as my colour scheme…
And here’s the other little pocket hug that fits neatly inside one of the pockets on the package…
MEASUREMENTS
To make the double pocket gift package in the video you’ll need the following supplies:
- Moody Mauve card measuring 3″ x 10-1/2″
- score on the long side at 4-1/2″, 5-1/4″ and 6″
- die cut the ends as shown in the video
- 2023-2025 In Color designer series paper – 2 pieces measuring 6″ x 4-1/2″ to die cut
- 5 Basic White card pieces to stamp and die cut the flowers and sentiment labels
- Balmy Blue card for the gift card pocket measuring 1-1/4″ x 2-7/8″
- ribbon & embellishments
Here are both packages together. Which one do you prefer?
These packages would also work well with a gift card in place of the pocket hug or maybe a little tea bag in one side and a cookie in the other.
I hope you like today’s project and will give it a try.
