Slimline Elephant birthday card – with Zoo Crew DSP

Hello! I hope you are well.

I love elephants! You might have guessed that from my logo and my nickname of Nellie (the elephant). So, I couldn’t resist making an elephant from the Zoo Crew designer series paper the star of the show on today’s card…

I wish there was a stamp and die for this enigmatic elephant in the Zany Zoo bundle but there isn’t. There’s plenty of other cute creatures in the bundle to play with though.

To save me from fussy cutting the elephant I simply used one of the Something Fancy dies to cut him out instead. I used the same die to cut a piece of Lemon Lolly card too. There’s a little die in the set that cuts the hole in each tag that I used for the Lemon Lolly ribbon.

I used Smoky Slate, Petal Pink and Lemon Lime Twist blends to add some extra colour to the elephant before adding it to my slimline card.

My card base is Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 21 cm, scored & folded on one side at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of Pool Party card measuring 9 x 19.5 cm and a layer of Basic White that I’d added some Pool Party ink to, that measures 8.5 x 19 cm.

I glued the Lemon Lolly tag to the card base and popped the elephant one up with dimensionals…

I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from Something Fancy with Pumpkin Pie ink and cut it with a die from Something fancy too. I popped this over the ribbon with dimensionals.

My final touch was to add some Glossy Dots in Pool Party too.
