Creative Colour Challenges 93 – featuring Oceanfront and Go To Greetings

I thought these colours would work well with the Oceanfront stamp set that I hadn’t used for a little while. I used Starry Sky as the sea and Highland Heather for the sky, with a little bit of foliage using Old Olive and here’s the result…

My card base is Basic WhiteThick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I stamped my little scene using the same stamp with both Starry Sky and Highland Heather but I turned it around 90 degrees. I also used the triangular shaped stamp along the bottom of the Starry Sky part to even it up and give even more texture.

To mirror the random edges of the stamped scene, I die cut my stamped piece with one of the Deckled Rectangle dies. I mounted this onto Highland Heather card measuring 8.5 x 12.5 cm and then added them to the card base.

My sentiment is from Go To Greetings and I stamped with Old Olive ink onto Basic White card. I used the smallest Deckled Rectangle as the length of it was perfect. However, it was too wide so I used the die for a second time to narrow it. I stamped a little bit of detail on the inside with Old Olive ink too.

I love the shading and textural effect you get with the Oceanfront stamps, don’t you?
