InspireInk Blog Hop – Fancy Floral gift box

Hello everyone.

Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk blog hop for April 2023, with my talented Pootlers team mates.

This month our theme is Fancy Floral.

I initially thought I’d do a fancy fold card but changed my mind and decided I’d make a fancy little gift box for 2 tea light candles…

I’ve used Orchid Oasis to make the box and Fancy Flora designer series paper to decorate it – it just seemed relevant to the blog hop theme! This paper pack is retiring so may not be available by the time you read this. If it is, I’d urge you to grab it while you can as it’s gorgeous.

I’ve added a die cut, flower and leaves from the online exclusive Irresistible Blooms bundle, using Orchid Oasis and Soft Succulent inks.

The box has an unusual opening, inspired by a square box created by a German demonstrator Babsi’s Bastelwerkstatt. Of course I had to made it my own by changing it to be a rectangle. To open it you need to hold onto the ribbon and open the top…

And then you can see the tea lights are safely inside and there’s a lovely little sentiment too…
