Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk blog hop for February 2023, with my talented Pootlers team mates.
This month our theme is Celebrations. Personally I think Birthdays are the best celebrations because everyone gets one! However, I have a tendency to forget some of them and so when I first saw the Something Fancy stamp set I knew I had to get it; just for the stamp I’ve used on today’s card…
I reckon if you’re going to give someone a belated birthday card, you really ought to make it special! I think all the golden tones on this card, along with the fabulous Painted Posies 3D embossing folder for the background might just do the trick…

My card base is Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm, My Gold Foil Sheet layer is 9.7 x 13.7cm and my embossed Basic White layer is 9.5 x 13.5 cm. I die cut the larger label from the middle of the Gold Foil sheet before I glued my layers together – it would’ve been a huge waste of foil to only show that tiny 1mm border!
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink then I added gold embossing powder and heat set it. The magic of heat embossing never fades for me, I love it every time.
I added some gold shimmer ribbon under the sentiment labels that were popped up with dimensionals and finally added some of the gold sequins from the Pastel sequins pack.
