I decided to use one of the gorgeous papers that will be free with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration ( 5 January to 28 February 2023) along with a sentiment from a new stamp set from the January to April 2023 Stampin’ Up! mini catalogue for this card…
The 12″ x 12″ sheet of Dainty Flowers designer series paper has a total of 6 floral ovals plus 2 other floral pieces that really don’t need much added to them to make pretty cards. You get 2 of this particular sheet included in the 12 double sided pages in the pack and it’s all free with a £45 spend during Sale-A-Bration!
My only problem with using this design was knowing what card colour to add it to, so I looked at the colours in the paper pack and picked out 3 of them! I told you I couldn’t decide, lol!
My card bases is Old Olive card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold. I then added a piece of Crushed Curry card measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm and a piece of Rich Razzleberry card measuring 9 x 13 cm. I could have added them on straight so they had a nice even border but I went with adding them at jaunty angles. If you struggle with getting card layers glued on straight, why not use this technique to put a twist on your cards too?
I simply stamped the Thank You sentiment from Something Fancy straight onto the patterned paper with Starry Sky ink.
I cut a piece of Basic White card to measure 10 x 14 cm for the inside and thought it needed a little bit of stamping; so I used yet another new stamp set called Decorative Borders with Old Olive ink to add this sprig of leaves inside…
