Team Colour Challenge with Artistic Mix decorative masks

Hello!

I am part of the wider Pootlers team and our team leader Sam (aka Pootles) set us a fun colour challenge where we had to use Stampin’ Up! colours that have a connection to our name(s). I chose to use Highland Heather (obviously!) and to go with my surname Forgan I chose Fresh Freesia; but could have gone with Flirty Flamingo as that would’ve worked just as well.

Here’s the card I made with my chosen combination…

I started off by adding Fresh Freesia ink to Basic White card with one of the Artistic Mix decorative masks and a blending brush. I then added a second mask and added Highland Heather ink with a blending brush. I love the effect you get by layering up these masks!

I trimmed this piece of card to measure 10 x 14 cm and added it to my usual card base (29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm).

I used the Biggest Wish stamp set for my sentiment, firstly stamping ‘BIRTHDAY’ with Fresh Freesia ink and then stamping ‘happy’ over it with Highland Heather ink. I cut this with one of the Deckled Rectangles die and added some Highland Heather ink around the edges with what was left on my blending brush.

I added loops of Fresh Freesia open weave ribbon and then put the sentiment over them with dimensionals…

My final touch was to add some Pastel Pearls.

Which colours would you choose for this type of challenge?
