CASEing the catalogue with Abigail Rose suite

Hello.

Every now and again I can sit and look at the gorgeous products on my craft desk and be a little bit overwhelmed and not know where to start with them. That’s the perfect time for picking up your Stampin’ Up! catalogue and finding those products in there. You always get some ideas and inspiration in the catalogues. I did exactly this with the Abigail Rose suite that you’ll find on pages 56 & 57 of the May 2022 to April 2023 catalogue and made my version of one of the sample cards on there…

I didn’t copy the card exactly but it certainly heavily influenced my design! Can you tell which one I CASE’d…?

Yes, I simplified the one on the top right of this catalogue page. Instead of having a green card base I used Early Espresso and I stamped on Crumb Cake card rather than the ribbon and I only added one stamped and die cut image so you could see more of the designer series paper.

It’s amazing how changing just a few details can result in a very different card. Images in the catalogue always spark my creativity! When did you last check the catalogue out for inspiration? Even just for a card layout? It’s a fabulous resource.

I stamped my image with Basic Gray ink and coloured it with some of our Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen. This is a great way to add just a subtle bit of colour to your stamped images, but of course you can build it up to a bolder and brighter colour too, if you wish.

To finish my card I added a layer inside that I’d added a little bit of Crumb Cake ink with a Blending Brush and stamped another sentiment and foliage with Early Espresso ink…

Now that I’ve made one card with this suite I can’t wait to create more!
