Tartan Christmas Westie card!

Hello, I hope you are well.

I’ve been playing with the Christmas Scottie bundle and the Artistic Mix decorative masks to create a totally Scottish Christmas card…

I turned the Scottie dogs into Westies by using the lovely tactile Snowy White Velvet sheets. It was hard to photograph the texture but hopefully this close up gives you an idea…

The Scottie Dog punch cuts out both the body of the dog and the cute little bow. I used Stampin’ Blends to colour the bows. I then dabbed off the excess ink and set them aside to fully dry before assembling my card.

The tartan background is created by using 2 masks from the Artistic Mix decorative masks sets. It’s great that you can layer up these masks to get even more patterns from the set.

The sentiment on the front is from the Christmas Scottie stamp set, as are the stamps I used on the inside of the card…

The colours I used were Real Red and Daffodil Delight but I’m sure this card would work with any number of colour combinations! Why not give it a try?
