Creative Colour Challenges 46 – Thinking Of You

Hello, I hope you are well.

When I first saw this week’s Creative Colour Challenge I immediately thought of Autumn but I’ve already done a few autumnal cards in the past week so I knew I had to think again!!

I eventually decided that I’d make a sunset scene and here was the final result…

I cut a piece of Basic White card to measure 9 x 13 cm and used one of the Seasonal Labels dies in the centre of it. I embossed the remaining frame with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.

I then cut a 1″ circle from our new Masking Paper and place that on the label die cut before adding some Crushed Curry ink and then Pumpkin Pie ink around it to cover the whole piece. I removed the masking paper and then added a little bit of the remaining Crushed Curry ink onto the sun so it wasn’t stark white. I then brought in the Pear Pizzazz ink and the Oceanfront stamp set to add in the foliage in the foreground.

I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie card to measure 9.5 x 13.5 cm and added my embossed frame to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added both to my normal card base (Thick Basic White card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm)

The inked and stamped die cut was glued to the Pumpkin Pie card with the edges in line with the frame.

My sentiment comes from Go To Greetings and I used Pear Pizzazz ink again. I cut this with another Seasonal Labels die but had to cut it twice to shorten the length. Part of it was added with dimensionals and the right end just glued to the frame…

The final touch was to add some Champagne Rhinestones.
