Creative Colour Challenges 38 featuring Split Card Textures dies

24 May

Hello, I hope you are well.

Today I want to share the latest Creative Colour Challenge from Vickie Lou Designs with you, and of course my entry. Here are this week’s 3 colours…

Please CLICK HERE to see the stunning card that Victoria has created with these colours and hopefully you will join in the fun too.

I haven’t used the rubber band technique for ages and thought these colours would look good with this technique for the background of my card. I also wanted to use my new Split Card Textures dies and here’s the end result…

I added lots of rubber bands around some clear blocks, inked them up and stamped all over a piece of Basic White card…

It can get messy, but it really is fun! You’ll never get exactly the same results again.

I cut a piece of Night of Navy card with one of the Split Card Texture dies but didn’t want a full piece so I fussy cut along the edge of the die cut part. This way you get to see more of my rubber band stamped piece.

I used the Color & Contour stamp set for my sentiments and then realised that I could also use the ink blot stamp from the set to add even more colour to my background piece! I had to trim my background down so had a tiny strip left that I added to the inside of my card along with another sentiment and more ink blots…

This was a fun colour combination! Why don’t you see what you can create with these 3 colours and join in the fun?

You don’t need a blog, you can simply upload a photograph of your creation to take part – click here to find out more
