Watercoloured card with the Painted Posies embossing folder

Hello!

I have been playing around with a new embossing folder, inks and water painters to make today’s card…

I started with a card base of Basic White Thick card measuring 11-1/2″ x 5-3/4″, scored and folded at 5-3/4″. I then cut a layer of Highland Heather card to measure 5-5/8″ x 5-5/8″ and Shimmery White card to 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″

I ran the Shimmery White card through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine in the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder.

I added ink to some small clear blocks and diluted it with my Water Painters before painting the flowers on my card. Shimmery White card can take the water and is much smoother than normal watercolouring paper – plus it shimmers!

Before I added my layers to the card base I added some of the new metallic edge cotton ribbon, securing the ends on the back. I added my ribbon bow with mini glue dots…

My sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set and I love ALL of the fonts in this set but this one is definitely my favourite. I cut the greeting with a Stitched Rectangle die and backed it with Highland Heather card trimmed to fit.

The final flourish was to add those Pastel Pearls.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card and will perhaps give it a try.
