InspireInk April 2022 Blog hop – a colour challenge with Hello Beautiful

Hello everyone.

Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk blog hop for April 2022, with my talented team mates. This month our challenge was set by my friend Gez of http://www.nigezza.co.uk to use these shades of purple…

I really can’t wait to see what everyone else has done for this challenge. Remember to check out their entries by clicking on the blue box down below.

Here’s the card I made with the Hello Beautiful stamp set…

I stamped a piece of Basic White card with lots of the images from the Hello Beautiful stamp set with all of the ink colours from the challenge. I got the idea of using these stamps for a camouflage effect from a video I watched from Mitosu Crafts; but I’m not sure what situation you’d want to have purple camouflage, lol! To make sure I didn’t have any white bits left I went over the whole piece with Fresh Freesia ink and a blending brush.

Here are the layers of card I used:

  • Rich Razzleberry for the base -29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm
  • Blackberry Bliss – 10 x 14 cm (you need 2 of these, one for the front and one for the inside)
  • Basic White – 9.5 x 13.5 cm (again you need 2 of these)
  • Highland Heather and Basic White for the hexagons

My sentiment is from the Biggest Wish stamp set and I inked it with Versamark and Blackberry Bliss ink then added clear embossing powder and heat set it. I love the shine…

I wrapped the Fresh Freesia ribbon around the top 2 layers before I added them to the base. My bow was added with mini glue dots and I popped the sentiment up with dimensionals.

It’s time to see what everyone else has created for this challenge. Please click on the button below to see all of the other blogs you can hop around…
