Slimline Birthday Card with coloured Shimmery Embossing Paste

Hello, I hope you are well.

I am a late convert to the Shimmery White Embossing Paste and until I made this card I hadn’t coloured it, but wow I LOVE the effect you get…

I added a couple of little drops from my Highland Heather reinker to approximately a teaspoon of the embossing paste and mixed it well to get an even colour. I then spread it with a palette knife on one of the Butterflies & Flowers decorative masks over Basic White card. I laid it on pretty thick but still had LOTS left to do some other cards. A little really does go a long way. I set it aside to dry for a while before I assembled my card.

I love that you get the colour and the texture but you still get lots of the shimmer too…

My card base was Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 21 cm, scored & folded at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of Highland Heather card measuring 10 x 20.5 cm and trimmed my piece of Basic White card with the embossing paste down to 9.5 x 20 cm.

I used the Medium Daisy Punch on Basic White card 9 times and layered up 3 of them to create 3 full daisies. I added some Highland Heather ink with a sponge dauber and a Pastel Pearl in the centre of each flower.

I stamped the Happy Birthday from Art Gallery twice and chopped it up to add to my card in 3 sections, with foam adhesive strip.

I added a couple of other Pastel Pearls to finish the card off. I hope you like it.

Top Tip: remember to clean your mask and palette knife quickly before the embossing paste hardens!
