Hello.
I’ve had a little bit of a play with the fabulous Abstract Beauty designer series paper pack to create this fun thank you card…
I coloured the white background of the that gorgeous golden striped designer series paper with my Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends to add my own little twist. You don’t need to be careful when you colour this as the alcohol ink won’t sit on top of the gold foil and I think it looks better that the colour is dark and light in places.
I used the smallest hexagons die from the Beautiful Shapes set to cut some scraps of 2 coordinating designs from the paper pack. The die actually cuts 2 hexagons at a time which makes life a little easier too.
I stamped the sentiment from Hello Beautiful onto Basic White card and cut it with one of the circles from the Beautiful Shapes dies. To coordinate it with the papers I’d used I stamped the little dots with Blushing Bride, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight inks, both first and second generation for contrast.
I also cut some Gold Foil sheet with the large lozenge shape die from the same set. I love the embossed lines on this. I glued this onto the striped piece, added some gold shimmer ribbon and added the sentiment on top with dimensionals. I added the ribbon bow with mini glue dots.
To complete the card I added a white layer with a little piece of the coloured striped paper to the inside too…
I would normally pair gold with a darker blue but I really like this Balmy Blue and gold combination. I hope you do too!
