Inspire.Create.Challenges 108 – Sketch Challenge with Daffodil Afternoon DSP

Hello.

The latest challenge over at http://inspirecreatechallenges.blogspot.com/ is to get creative with this card layout…

Please CLICK HERE to see what the design team have created and to join in the fun!

I decided to use some of the gorgeous Daffodil Afternoon designer series paper (DSP) that you can get for FREE with a qualifying order of £45 or more (plus P&P) in my online Stampin’ Up! shop until 28 February 2022. Here’s my card…

I think I’ve managed to take a very clean and simple card layout and make it a bit fussy with all those patterns but I like it! Lol

I even added more patterned paper to the inside…

My card base is Very Vanilla thick card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm. I added a layer of Daffodil Afternoon DSP measuring 10 x 14 cm to the front and then added 3 other designs from the pack in 2cm wide strips with their ends flagged.

I wanted a narrow sentiment so chose ‘Wishing You Well’ from the Sending Hugs stamp set. I stamped it with Evening Evergreen ink onto Very Vanilla card and cut it with the corresponding die from Layering Hugs. These stamp set and dies can be purchased separately but if you buy them as a bundle you save 10%. I’ve shown both options in my product list below.

The little flowers and leaves were also cut with dies from Layering Hugs. They are so delicate and pretty! I added the sentiment with some foam adhesive strip and then added some Evening Evergreen jewels as my finishing touch.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card for this colour challenge. There are a fews days of this challenge left so why not give it a try?
