I’ve had my first play with the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative masks from the January to June 2022 mini catalogue and I’m smitten with them! There are 6 masks in the set and there are SO many ways you could layer them up. I’ve started by simply layering up the flowers in the set for this bright card…
I started off using the subtle So Saffron with a Blending Brush and then layered up with the punchy Mango Melody on top. I then added in some extra flowers just using Mango Melody, along with some leaves using Soft Sea Foam.
The sentiment is from the Sale-A-Bration set Special Moments. This stamp set can be exclusively earned with a purchase in my online shop of £90 or more up until 28 February 2022. It has a total of 21 photopolymer stamps that cover so many occasions that it would be a great addition to any stamper’s stash.
Using Blending Brushes really does give a fabulous smooth layer of colour and it’s easy to get lighter and dark tones by adjusting the pressure on the brush. So you can get texture even where you only use one ink pad, like I did with the leaves…
The dimensions for this card are as follows:
- Basic White Thick card for the base – 21 x 14.5 cm; scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm
- So Saffron card – 13.5 x 9.5 cm
- Soft Sea Foam card – 13 x 9 cm
- Basic White card for the top layer – 12.5 x 8.5 cm
