Shimmery Embossing Paste Christmas card

Hello!

Why has it taken me so long to discover the joys of Stampin’ Up! Shimmery White Embossing Paste? I’ve been adding it to stamped wood slices that I’m selling at my Christmas fairs this year and totally love the sparkle it adds. So I decided I needed to play with it a bit more. I’ve used the dotty mask from the Plenty Of Patterns decorative masks to create this super fun background for today’s card…

I love the texture it adds to a pretty plain card!

It looks a bit like sparkling bubble wrap and is just as much fun to play with, lol.

My card base is Real Red card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added my Shimmery Embossing paste to a piece of Shimmery White card measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm and add 2 lengths of Real Red double-stitched satin ribbon with the ends secured on the back of the embossed card. I added a bow with the same ribbon using mini glue dots and finally stamped my sentiment from Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set with Real Red ink onto another piece of Shimmery White card and cut it with the Rectangle Postage Stamp punch. I added this to the card with dimensionals.

I did also add a piece of Basic White card to the inside to complete the card.

I really do like the effect and hope you do too.
