Hello, I hope you are well.
In my last video tutorial I used the super sweet Gingerbread & Peppermint designer series paper for the first time in ages. Well, I loved it so much (again!!) that I’ve used it for today’s project too…
When you untie the ribbon (or slide it off) and open the front it reveals a little pocket for a gift card and a nice big area to write a personal message…
I’ve recorded a video to show you how to make this easy gift card holder. Just click on the image below to take a look…
To make the version in my video you’ll need the following:
- Real Red card measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″
- score on the long side at 5-1/2″ and 9-1/4″
- Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP in the first design measuring
- 3-1/2″ x 4″
- 1-1/2″ x 4″
- Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP in a second design measuring
- 3″ x 3-1/2″
- 1″ x 3-1/2″
- Basic White card for the inside that measures 3-1/2″ x 4″
- Decorations fussy cut from the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP
- Basic White & Real Red circles for your sentiment (mine is from Holly Jolly Wishes)
In my original version I also added a third design of the paper to the gift card pocket and this measured 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ but I forgot about that part in my video! Oops.
This design will fit nicely into a regular Stampin’ Up! envelope so it’s a great choice if you need to post it to the recipient.
Here’s the one I made in my video beside the original version…
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing today’s project. I’d love to hear from you if you did. You can leave a comment on this blog post or pop over and leave a comment on my YouTube video and give it a thumbs up.
