Creative Colour Challenges 8 – Merry Christmas To You

These colours just screamed Christmas at me and I grabbed the Christmas Season stamps and Seasonal Labels Dies to create foliage, pine cones and berries for this card…

My card base is Real Red card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I cut a piece of Basic White card to measure 9.5 x 13.5 cm that I embossed with the Merry Melody 3D folder.

The Christmas Season stamp set doesn’t have any words in it so I picked a sentiment from the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set. I used Real Red ink on Basic White card and cut it with a die from Seasonal Labels that looks like it was made for it!

Now it may look like I’ve cheated and used another brown colour for my pine cones but I didn’t; I simply inked up with Early Espresso but stamped off onto a scrap of paper before stamping onto my card. This just gives you a lighter effect with just the one ink pad.

I arranged all my die cuts onto the white card and then added the sentiment on top with dimensionals.

I really hope you like my card and will be tempted to give the colour challenge a go too!
