Creative Colour Challenge #3 with blending brushes

Hello, I hope you are well.

When the lovely Vickie of Vickie Lou Designs launched her latest colour challenge I just knew I had to give it a go. Here are the colours for this week…

You can click here to see Vickie’s beautiful card with this colour combo and to enter the challenge too. The more the merrier!

I thought these 3 colours would look great with an ombre effect and immediately grabbed my blending brushes and one of the Basic Pattern decorative masks to create the background for my card…

I started with Flirty Flamingo about a third of the way down from the top and blended the colour from dark at the bottom to light at the top. I then did the same effect with the Cherry Cobbler ink and finally the Blackberry Bliss ink. I think these colours really suit this kind of Damask type pattern, what do you think?

My card base is Blackberry Bliss and then I added a layer of Flirty Flamingo. Before adding my inked up layer I added some of the Flirty Flamingo metallic ribbon across it and added a bow.

My sentiment is from the Through It Together stamp set and I used Blackberry Bliss ink onto Flirty Flamingo card and cut it with one of the Encircled In Beauty dies then added it to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals…

I love the gold shimmer that runs through this lovely soft ribbon! Finally, I added a few rhinestones.

I do hope you like my card and will join in the fun with the Creative Colour Challenge sometime soon.
