Whitewash colouring technique tutorial – featuring Color & Contour bundle

Hello, I hope you are well.

I’ve discovered a new technique (to me, I haven’t invented it!) that I’m calling the whitewash technique but there may be other names for it. Here’s the first card I created with it…

The technique boils down to adding white ink to a stamped image so on darker card so that you can then add in colour on top of the white.

Let me show you how in this video, just click on the image below to check it out…

Here’s the alternative coloured card from my video…

Which do you prefer? The original Kraft and Soft Suede version or the Gray Granite & Night of Navy version from the video?

I’ve purposely not added a sentiment to these cards. I can either add a sentiment when I send them, or just leave them as they are when I want to send a ‘just because’ kind of card.

Shop the products…

I’ve listed all of the products I used for both versions of today’s card below. You can click on any of the images to visit that product in my online Stampin’ Up! store. The stamp and dies I used can be purchased separately but you’ll save 10% if you buy them as a bundle, so I’ve shown both options in my product list.

When you shop with me I’ll send you a handmade card and gift as a token of my appreciation. If your order is under £150 please use my current Host Code so that I can add a free Stampin’ Up! product to your customer thank you pack for the month. Find out more in the Host Code page in the main menu.

Remember that during Sale-A-Bration you’ll also earn free products direct from Stampin’ Up! for orders of £45 or more (before P&P) completed by 30 September 2021.
