Hello, I hope you are well.
I’ve picked a Christmas stamp set from the Annual Catalogue to share with you today. The Snowflake Wishes stamp set was a firm favourite for me during last year’s Christmas crafting and I’m delighted that it’s still available for you to purchase. It has SO many lovely snowflake stamps and beautiful sentiments that it will be a set that you can use for years and years and keep coming up with new ideas for it.
Here’s today’s card…
I’ve tried to step out of my clean crafting comfort zone with this card to try a bit of shabby chic – it’s just a few baby steps though!
My card base is Balmy Blue card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I cut 2 pieces of Basic White card to each measure 10 x 14 cm, one for the front and the other for the inside. I also cut another piece of Balmy Blue card to measure 7 x 12 cm. I also needed Basic White and Silver Foil card for the sentiment.
I stamped the white card for the front with lots of snowflakes in Balmy Blue ink and used a Blending Brush to add some more ink too. I stamped the Balmy Blue piece with Versamark, added Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I also heat embossed the sentiment with some additional little snowflakes around it.
I distressed the edges of my layers with the open blade of my Paper Snips and curled up the top left corner of the white piece before I added it.
I also splashed the card with some diluted White reinker and with my Wink of Stella. The final bling on the front was some of the gorgeous Blue adhesive backed gems that really catch the light and of course my bow made with the silver Metallic Mesh ribbon and a few additional rhinestones.
I did a bit more stamping, ink blending & distressing the edges on the piece of white card for the inside…
I hope you enjoyed seeing today’s card and will perhaps try something similar.
