Watercolour Hugs to You!

Hello everyone.

For today’s card I’ve used the Stampin’ Up! Sending Hugs stamp set. But I’ve not used the coordinating Layering Hugs dies this time. Instead I’ve created a soft and subtle card with white heat embossing and my watercolor pencils…

My card base is Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5cm, and I covered the front of it with a piece of the Pansy Petals designer series paper pack that measures 10.5 x 14.5 cm.

I cut a piece of Fresh Freesia card to measure 12 x 8.5 cm and stamped it with the lovely big stamp from Sending Hugs using Versamark ink. I added white Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I did the same with the To You stamp in the corner.

I coloured the top parts of the HUGS with my Gorgeous Grape watercolor pencil and blended it downwards with a Blender Pen to give an ombre effect. I then used a few other pencils to add little bits of colour to other parts of the stamped image.

I cut one of the Square Vellum doilies in half and added them to the card base and then added my stamped panel on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally, I added a few of rhinestones for a bit of bling!

I’ve listed the products I used for today’s card below. You can click on any of the images to visit that product in my online Stampin’ Up! store. The stamp set and punch I used can be purchased separately but you’ll save 10% if you buy them with the bundle code, so I’ve shown both options below.

When you shop with me I’ll send you a handmade card and gift as a token of my appreciation. If your order is under £150 please use my current Host Code so that I can add a free Stampin’ Up! product to your customer thank you pack for the month. Find out more in the Host Code page in the main menu.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
