Hello, I hope you are well.
I’ve been loving playing around with older stamps and dies but with some of the newer In Colors lately and today’s card is another example of this…
Pale Papaya is one of the 2021-2023 In Colors that were just launched last month, but it’s already become one of my favourite colours as it’s soft and warm all at the same time.
I made my card base with Basic White Thick card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 14.5 cm to create a tent fold.
I cut a piece of the Pale Papaya designer series paper to measure 10 x 14 cm and a piece of Basic White card to measure 8.5 x 12.5 cm.
I cut the large leaf from the white card which leaves that lovely stitching around the outside. I also used one of the Stitched Leaves die to cut those stitched lines at the bottom of the white card for extra detail. I used the die that creates the stitching for the veins of the leaf on the die cut leaf and on the Pale Papaya DSP, in line with the aperture of the white card piece.
I added the DSP to the card base and before adding the white card on top, I added some Pale Papaya open weave ribbon to it and tied it in a knot.
I added the die cut leaf with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added the sentiment on top and a few of the In Color jewels.
I love the simplicity of this card with just the two colours, but also the complexity of all that faux stitching too. I hope you do too.
